Many people, organizations, and research papers were used in this compilation. I’m sure I will miss some of the people who helped, but I’ll try to remember them all. My family, Theresa Ann Bingham Blair, Amanda Marie Blair, and Thomas William Blair III. It is not everyone’s idea of fun to spend countless hours tromping through cemeteries in all kinds of weather. But they endured the hardships with much more willingness than others would have. Without their support, this work would simply not have been accomplished. Members of the James F. Douglas Hinton was Camp Adjutant when I first joined the SCV in Daytona Beach. Lindsay B. Fant was a member of the SCV in Ocala. We became very good friends very quickly. Jackie Calain was a member of the UDC in Deland. She was the primary worker in their survey of graves done in 1994. Her work saved me a lot of time and effort. I miss all of these people very much. They helped me shape an appreciation of honor and devotion to duty. They showed me that it is often important to put yourself at the bottom of the priority list because we do not live in a vacuum. Our actions today will influence those who come after us. I recognize and appreciate the valuable lessons they taught me. Doug, Jackie, Lindsay...I still miss you. I hope I have not forgotten anyone. It was not done intentionally. It simply was the result of my feeble mind.
