October 2002 Started setting up plans for SCV Camp in Tri-County area.

November 12, 2002 First SCV meeting at Olde Boarding House Restaurant (set up guidelines for new Camp).

December 17, 2002 Second SCV meeting in Trenton , we had visitors from Lake City , Dixie Camps and Commander John Adams.

January 21, 2003 SCV meeting set up to install Officers and submit paper work for Camp Chartering . (John Adams mother was sick and he did not attend). We had speaker Buddy Burch Commander from Madison Starke Perry Camp in Gainesville .

JANUARY 23, 2003 CAMP CHARTERED.

March 18, 2003 SCV meeting had speaker Barbara Crawford.

March 25, 2003 John Hance O'Steen Camp started its' web page.

March 27, 2003 Started "Confederate Mail Carrier News" to be emailed to members.

April 5, 2003 Dedication John Hance O'Steen headstone located in Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.

April 10, 2003 We made front page in the Gilchrist County Journal newspaper.

April 12,2003 Attended Officers Call in Ocala .

April 15, 2003 SCV meeting - first meeting located in Bell at Atkins Bar B-Q & Grill.

April 19, 2003 Treasurer Allen O'Steen open Camps first bank account.

April 19, 2003 SCV members placed 84 Confederate flags on graves in cemeteries in surrounding counties.

April 22, 2003 Received new member "Michael A. Goss, Jr." (21 member). Received request from Chuck Arnold to be transferred from Madison Stark Perry Camp to our Camp. (22 member)

April 24, 2003 Levy County Journal newspaper had a very good article on our Camp written by Ivan Chubb.

April 26, 2003 We joined The Battle of Olustee Camp 1463 in dedicating 4 different headstones in four different cemeteries.

May 10, 2003 We had our first yard sale in Bell.

April 20, 2003 Received Camp Banner from Arnold & Wanda O'Steen. Sgt. of Arms Tony White started to form an Honor Guard for our Camp.

June 6 - 8, 2003 Attended Florida Division Reunion in Cocoa Beach.

June 13, 2003 First Camp Newsletter by Compatriot Wilbur O'Steen.

June 17,2003 Perry Conerly received an Honorary Certificate to be a member of our Camp until paper work had been completed.

June 17, 2003 Presented Kim co-owner to Akins Bar B-Q & Grill with a Certificate of Appreciation. (14 members present and total 34 present)

July 10, 2003 Photo in the Gilchrist County Journal about our Camp attended the Florida Division Reunion in Cocoa Beach.

July 11, 2003 Applied for membership in the Gilchrist County Chamber of Commerce. Requested all names of Confederate Veterans be placed in the new Gilchrist History Book.

July 15, 2003 Received transfer paper from Bob McKinstry to join our Camp. (23 member) SCV meeting had Compatriot Robbie Roberton to speak on "Presentation of Preservation of the Flags in Tallahassee. Compatriot Wayne Lindsey donated $90.00 to have our Camp name placed on the White Springs Monument and Compatriot Lindon Lindsey donated $10.00 for the name which completed the $100.00 total cost. .

August 16, 2003 Executive Committee met and set up By-laws for our Camp.

August 23, 2003 John Hance O'Steen Camp 1st Annual picnic at Hart Springs.

September 11, 2003 Four members attended a dedication for "In Honor and Remembrance" to all service men and women who server the public. Sponsor by the Woodmen of the World.

September 13, 2003 Executive Committee met and set up goals for the John Hance O'Steen Camp for 2003.

September 16, 2003 SCV meeting Compatriot Tony White spoke on the American "Native in the War Between the States".

September 20, 2003 Set up Recruiting table at the Olustee Expo in Olustee State Park .

September 27, 2003 Set up a Living History and a Recruiting table at Trenton "Down Home Days".

October 18, 2003 Rode in float in Cedar Keys Lions Club parade "Sea Food Festival " represented the John Hance O'Steen Camp 770.

October 21, 2003 SCV meeting had guess speaker Paul Vamer who wrote the book "Confederate Money".

October 23, 2003 Photo of Cedar Keys parade was in the Levy County Journal.

October 24, 2003 Delivered 4 large bags of candy for the Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center .

October 25, 2003 Attended the headston dedication for Zachariah Jones with the Dixie Camp 1861. In attendance was Judge Jeffords Miller from Kissimmee, Florida.

November 1, 2003 Attended Officer Call in Silver Springs with Commander John Adams.

November 10, 2003 Set up a Living History camp for Blue Springs 4 H's and talked about the lives of the Civil War soldiers.

November 11, 2003 Photo in High Springs Herald newspaper of our SCV Camp in Newberry Veterans parade. Submitted two names of Soldiers from the War Between the States to be placed on a Veterans memorial at the new Alachua Courthouse in Gainesville.

November 18, 2003 SCV meeting Compatriot Tony White delivered his "Dream Story" about the soldiers in the War Between the States and Compatriot Lindon Lindsey brought his books with information and photos of the War Between the States. We had a ceremony for two new members: Perry Conerly and Donald Stone. (24 and 25 members).

November 20, 2003 Photo in the Gilchrist County Journal about our Camp speaking to the Blue Springs 4 H's.

December 6, 2003 Set up a Recruiting table and had a float for the Annual Bell Christmas parade. We tied for first place in the float.

December 11, 2003 We made front page in the Gilchrist County Journal newspaper about our float in Bell parade. Received Perry's Great Grandfather headstone from the government.

December 13, 2003 John Hance O'Steen Camp had its Christmas party at Compatriot Skee Hutson home.

December 20, 2003 SCV members set up a float for the Newberry Parade.
